No Conflict Here
A performance presentation.
Dance Studies Association Conference, Malta, Saturday 7 July 2018.
In this work we address and discuss the ways in which conflict has challenged – and made possible – our collaboration. Our presentation is built on un/shared belief systems that invite difficult conversations about “conflicting perceptions, interpretations, and values”. We reflect on and renegotiate key moments in our choreographic practice where racial antagonism is recognised as productively divisive for our aesthetic aims and working relationship.
